The state institution State Fund of TV and Radio programs is one of the world's largest collection of film-, video-, audio- and photo materials, that reflected Russian history, culture and art in the XXth century. The richest collection of Gosteleradiofond includes more than one and half million units and has no matches among home archives by its volume and variety of genres. The collection of Gosteleradiofond has been formed since 30-s of the last century replenishing by creations of artistic and historical significance. It is history and culture, politics and science, architecture and nature recorded in films, video, sound and pictures, from a minute-long TV item to a multi-hour serial, from a documentary record to a large work of art – all the best that has been created for all the history of soviet television and broadcasting. The collection of Gosteleradiofond constantly enlarges with new materials. These are TV and radio programs, granted to the archive, programs taken from producing and broadcasting companies on the grounds of bilateral agreements, video materials, shoot by Gosteleradiofond’s creative team within the project «Chronicle of TV and radio». One of Gosteleradiofond’s principal goals is safety of the materials. At the depository and production centre «Reutovo», equipped with storehouses and special technics, materials are transferred from out-of-date carries on digital format. Gosteleradiofond’s products and services are intended for wide circles of customers. Gosteleradiofond provides customers with high quality copies of sound and visual materials in any modern format. It offers catalogues on different themes, prepared by qualified personnel of Gosteleradiofond. The employees of Gosteleradiofond developed electronic databases for TV and radio archives. The programs and databases are protected by law and have certificates of Rospatent official registration. Gosteleradiofond provides broadcasting channels of the country with cinema- video- and audio materials, cooperates with Russian and foreign TV and radio organisations and archives. Gosteleradiofond is the member of the International Federation of Television Archives FIAT/IFTA. Euro-Asian Association of Audiovisual Archives was established on Gosteleradiofond’s initiative in 2002. On January 15, 1998 by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation Gosteleradiofond has been included into the State Register of the most precious objects of the cultural legacy of the people of the Russian Federation. |
